EPR H1 Groundwater Risk Assessment

“Harbour View is a woodland burial ground of some 26 acres. The original planning consent permitted burial in a large percentage of this acreage leaving an area that was considered problematic due to water table and a perception through the Environment Agency of a risk of contamination to groundwater. Having gathered data and improved drainage over many years, we requested consent to add more of the remaining acreage to the burial area. The negotiations with the EA extended over 3 years and became increasingly complicated. Earlier this year, our planning team retained the services of BOLD to demonstrate via EA models and our own historical data that our proposal posed no risk to water quality. Paul successfully proved our argument to the satisfaction of the EA and we received consent to extend our burial area.
